A FREE program for Grade P-12 students across Nova Scotia

The Atlantic International Film Festival’s Kids School Tour brings FREE in-person film screenings and workshops to three regions across Nova Scotia. Plus, a FREE virtual film lineup online for in-classroom screenings to schools throughout Atlantic Canada. The AIFF Kids School Tour is generously supported by the Nova Scotia Department of Education

The first step in a life filled with film appreciation and filmmaking is AIFF Kids - Presenting curated movies and shorts exploring vast emotional journeys that engage, entertain and invigorate young Atlantic Canadians. As always, we aim to provide our youth audience with a diverse program of films from the Atlantic provinces, Canada as a whole, and an international setting. With so much incredible programming, we’re sure that every student will connect with a film or workshop that they experience at AIFF Kids.

The AIFF Kids School Tour offers free daytime films screenings and hands-on workshops for school groups and youth organizations, and AIFF Kids Online gives free access to a streaming version of the School Tour.

AIFF Kids Online is a free program in French and English available to teachers and schools throughout Nova Scotia. Featuring a curated lineup of films, along with a variety of workshops. All broken down by grade range, themes and objectives, use as much or as little of the program as needed. Easily accessible and easy to use on our AIFF Online streaming platform. AIFF Kids is an integral part of the AIFF family of events and activities, which also includes our cornerstone event the Atlantic International Film Festival in September.
