The AIFF Kids Youth Film Competition is a film festival celebrating the work of young Atlantic Canadian filmmakers, and a fun and exciting opportunity for selected participants to showcase their work on the big screen and the official AIFF YouTube channel. Finalists will have a chance to win fantastic awards and prizes, including Best Fiction Film, Best Documentary, and Best Film by a Filmmaker 12 & Under.

2024 AIFF Kids Youth Film Competition

Submissions Open!

Extended Deadline: April 19, 2024

The AIFF Kids Youth Film Competition is a free challenge for anyone ages 18 or under to develop skills as a filmmaker! New this edition, the AIFF Kids Youth Film Competition will take place in May 2024. Finalist films will be shown on the big screen at Cineplex Cinemas in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and then presented on the AIFF YouTube channel.
