2024 AIFF Kids Youth Film Competition: Finalist Screening
Join us to celebrate the creativity, originality, and unique vision of Atlantic Canada’s youth creators - This year we’re thrilled to be returning to cinema in 2024 with an in-person screening of our Finalists films!
THE COMPETITION IS HEATING UP!
Congratulations to our 2024 AIFF Kids Youth Film Competition Finalists! 👏🏿👏🏼👏🏽
Faced with the challenge of narrowing it down, our judges have chosen 16 Finalist films. From comedy to drama to documentary, these films showcase the budding talent and creativity of the next generation of filmmakers.
Now Accepting Applications - 2024 AIFF Filmmaker Lab
Designed to welcome emerging filmmakers from Atlantic Canada to the world of festivals and film distribution, the RBC Emerging Artist Fund presents the second annual AIFF Filmmaker Lab. Our goals are to inspire, educate and connect filmmakers, as they advance their artistic journeys.
Attention Atlantic Canadian Filmmakers
We are looking to feature set stills from across Atlantic Canada from a variety of past productions big and small as part of our 2024 Atlantic International Film Festival promotional campaign.
AIFF Industry Abroad! Part 2
After a successful introduction to Scandinavia in Sweden, it was time to board a city train for the short ride north to the vibrant, modern city of Oslo. As we glided past pastoral towns and sparkling lakes- the conductor announced we were “now in the Kingdom of Norway”! Oslo is impressive.
Call for AIFF Volunteer Pre-Screeners
The Atlantic International Film Festival is seeking candidates for festival Pre-Screeners for the 44th edition of our festival this fall; September 11-18, 2024. Whether you have a background in film history, filmmaking, or are a cinephile, we’re looking for a diverse group of people who want to spend some free time watching and reviewing unique and thought-provoking festival submissions from voices around the world.
Volunteer Spotlight: Garrett
“I think the main thing I look forward to every year is the people I meet, whether they’re volunteers of the festival or film-goers. After graduating from film school, one of the biggest things I learned was how tight knit the film community really is. The AIFF really displays that as many people I see I’ve recognized, whether they’re former classmates or even former instructors. Especially this year when volunteering I got to talk to other volunteers about the different movies we saw and ones that we’re excited to see.”
