Matt has been involved in the Nova Scotia film industry for over a decade, primarily as an actor. As a film critic and essayist, he has been a contributing writer to Film School Rejects and One Perfect Shot, and he recently completed an MFA in Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia with a focus on Fiction. He previously worked at the festival as the Youth Initiatives Coordinator in the 2018 season.
