Ticket Questions
-
You can view the program and purchase tickets at https://2025aiff.eventive.org/welcome.
-
Yes, tickets will be available for purchase at our in-person Box Office this year! We still encourage you to purchase tickets online in advance to avoid disappointment.
-
You do require an Eventive account to purchase tickets to our in-person screenings as well as the showings on AIFF Online.
-
The program is subject to change and we need to be able to contact you if there are any program changes affecting your tickets. For example, a screening could be canceled for a variety of reasons, and we would need to let you know, and to process any necessary exchanges or refunds.
AIFF will not sell or disclose your personal information to anyone. In Canada, it is an offense to send marketing and promotional emails from unrelated external companies without your consent.
For more information on how Eventive uses information you provide to buy tickets and access to AIFF Online, you can view their privacy policy here. -
Yes! If you log in to your Eventive account here you can transfer any of your tickets on the “My tickets” page. Just click the “Manage” button next to the ticket you want to transfer and select “Transfer tickets”.
-
Select the ticket(s) you wish to purchase.
At the checkout, click “Have a discount code?” and enter the code you were supplied.
Click “Apply”. You should now see the adjusted price.
Ticket Packages/Pass Questions
-
Ticket packages and passes can be purchased here.
-
We have packages of 4, 6, and 12 tickets that grant you admission to any non-Gala screening. You may use your tickets to book multiple seats in a single screening or use them as single admissions.
Please note that ticket packages do not include tickets to Gala screenings or AIFF Online.
-
Once you have purchased a ticket package it will be available to use on your Eventive account. Once you select the screening(s) you would like to buy tickets for, select “Order tickets” and Eventive will prompt you to “Quick order tickets with pass ‘Ticket Package’.” Once you see this message all you need to do is order the desired number of tickets and enjoy the show!
Be sure to bring your tickets, either printed or on your phone, to get access to the screening!
-
The Weekender is a pass that gives you access to all weekend screenings beginning 5:00 PM on Friday September 12th with the exception of our weekend galas.
-
The Festival Pass will get you into any screening at the festival minus the Opening Night Gala Screening. (The pass can be used to get you into the Opening Night Gala Celebration however.) The pass also includes access to all of the programming on AIFF Online in addition to our in-cinema offerings.
Access to screenings is on a first come first served basis. A generous allotment of seats is reserved for Passholders at each screening. While a pass does not guarantee seating, passholders are allowed to reserve tickets ahead of time and/or scan their pass at the door until that allotment has been reached.
Passholders should arrive for a screening at least 10 minutes before show time. To guarantee a ticket we recommend purchasing one through the Box Office. Passes are non-transferable and photo ID may be required.
-
If you have a Festival Pass we recommend you reserve a ticket online ahead of the screening to ensure access to your desired screening.
Additionally, your pass has a QR code associated with it in your Eventive account. All you need to do is open “My Passes” on your Eventive account and select “Show Barcode.” You can scan this QR Code at the door to gain access to screenings as well.
However, walk-up admissions can only be accommodated if capacity allows.
AIFF Online Questions
-
AIFF Online presentations will be available to stream here starting Wednesday, September 17th. Virtual screenings can be “unlocked” for the price of a ticket, or with a festival pass, or ticket package.
Once a virtual screening is unlocked you will have 48 hours to start streaming it, and once started you will have 24 hours to finish watching.
-
AIFF Online is an online streaming platform showcasing features and shorts that come from Atlantic Canadian (NS, NB, NL and PEI). We also offer a Shorts Pass that will allow you to watch all of the Shorts available on AIFF Online.
Please note: AIFF Online does not feature our entire program. The vast majority of the AIFF program is available in-cinema only. -
Each film can only be watched on one internet connection or network but can be watched by any device on that same network. I.e., you can start watching a film on your computer, and then continue on a tablet or phone, as long as those devices are on the same network. You cannot start watching at home, and then continue watching at a second location such as a friend’s home.
-
Once you have started streaming a film, you have 24 hours to finish watching, but for those 24 hours, you can start, stop, and restart as many times as you like.
Passholders can use the online portal to access the films as they choose as they become available, for the duration of the festival. The exception is the Galas, which have specific 24 hour windows of availability.
-
No, our licensing prevents us from allowing streaming outside of the Atlantic provinces.
-
You can watch content on PCs running Windows 7+, and Intel-based Macs running macOS 10.12+. You can also watch films on Android tablets and phones using Chrome, and on iPhones and iPads using Safari.
If you have an Apple TV, Fire TV or Roku device, you can use Eventive’s dedicated apps for these platforms. If you have a Chromecast, you can cast to it from Chrome on your computer or Android phone. Detailed instructions are below.
