The Princess Bride, As You Wish! ✨

Join us for a free screening to celebrate the Atlantic International Film Festival's upcoming 45th Anniversary. Featuring a larger-than-life inflatable screen, enjoy the cult 80's classic, ‘The Princess Bride’ under the stars.

For over a decade AIFF Outdoor (formerly the Outdoor Film Experience) delivered an unforgettable outdoor film experience on the Halifax Waterfront. After a brief hiatus, the AIFF Outdoor screening experience is returning. Join us and hundreds of movie-goers as we come together to experience an open-air cinema that has a unique festival atmosphere, and that must be experienced first-hand.

A grandfather reads his grandson a fairy tale that begins with Princess Buttercup, a young woman in love with a farm boy named Westley. When Westley is presumed dead, Buttercup is forced to marry the evil Prince Humperdinck. But the wedding is interrupted by a pirate, a vengeful swordsman and a gentle giant. Prepare for a spectacular quest through the Kingdom of Florin, up cliffs, over swamps, swashbuckling through castles, and battling rodents of unusual size.

This cult classic blends comedy, fantasy and romance like no other. Directed by Rob Reiner and packed with unforgettable lines, The Princess Bride is as enchanting now as it was in 1987. Whether you know it by heart or are seeing it for the first time, missing this would be inconceivable.
