Director Bio: Nancy's directorial debut was the short film version of Feed which was a part of Cannes Frontieres, played at Fantastic, Fantasia and many other horror film fests and won best short at AIFF and SNS. This led to the funding of the feature version which was shot in Cape Breton NS this spring. Nancy is a fan of dark comedy horrors (like Beetlejuice, Gremlins They Live) and this is what she hopes to achieve with this project.

Logline: A new mother struggles with breastfeeding and is restored by an old woman's folkloric curse.
Synopsis:
Savannah is a new mom to baby Pearl. She's single and confident in her choice to have a baby on her own in her early thirties, her best friend Kate is not as sure. Finally home after the birth, nursing is still not going great, and she's doubting her abilities. It's very painful, and the baby doesn't seem to take a bottle. The nurses who attend and check in mean well, but their varying opinions and judgments are hard to comply with, and the benchmarks and milestones are overwhelming. Desperate to get it right, she checks out a local nursing group, where she meets a lonely and elderly woman of Icelandic descent, Marie, who offers help with a tin of her homemade nipple cream, and to Sav's relief, it does seem to help. Things start to get better, only to get worse again when she finds the source of old woman’s healing cream, she and Kate have to make a sacrifice to comply with the folkloric curse it brings.
