Logline:

Paul, a writer with cerebral palsy, falls for his mail carrier Nora, and begins writing himself letters to see her more often. When Nora secretly reads the letters, she rediscovers a world of passion and romance, unaware that Paul is the author.

Synopsis:

From Me to You tells the story of two damaged people overcoming their demons to find love in Whitehorse, Yukon. Paul is a writer with cerebral palsy. His first book, a moderate hit, was a memoir about his sister Molly’s fight with cancer. Before she died, Molly asked Paul not to publish the book, but he did. His guilt has led to depression and alcohol abuse. His agent is hounding him for another book, which he is unable to deliver. Nora is a recovering opioid addict and former punk musician who moved to the Yukon for stability and peace. She works as a mail carrier, and lives with Evander, a white-collar bro who provides security but little else. Nora’s mail route includes Paul’s house. They meet and Paul is smitten. To see Nora more often, he begins writing letters and mailing them to himself. As Nora delivers his mail, they develop a close friendship. Nora becomes obsessed with the mysterious letters Paul receives and begins secretly reading them before delivering them. The beautiful, idiosyncratic, and intimate letters delight Nora and stand in stark contrast to her passionless relationship with Evander. Meanwhile, Paul submits the letters as a manuscript to his agent in a last-ditch effort to salvage his writing career. As Nora’s relationship with Evander disintegrates, she confesses to Paul that she’s been reading his letters and Paul tells her that the letters were written about, and for, her. They sleep together. Paul’s agent loves the letters and wants to publish them. Nora feels betrayed and angry. Paul and Nora fight. Nora relapses on narcotics and returns to Evander, while Paul returns to depression and drink. As the publication of Paul’s letters approaches, Paul and Nora must examine their priorities and insecurities as their chance for love hangs in the balance.
