Melaina Sheldon is an Inland Tlingit woman of the Deisheetaan Clan from Teslin, Yukon Territory. She recently worked with the National Film Board on Northlore, an animated documentary that features Indigenous and northern stories about transformation, which she produced, co-wrote and co-directed.

Logline:
Indigenous story teller Melaina Sheldon goes on a personal journey of discovery with archaeologist Kelsey Pennanen to learn more about the ancient science, technology, and heritage found on All-Together Mountain.
Synopsis:
Hunting Blinds is a feature documentary centered on an active volcano that has sustained people and animals for thousands of years. Melaina is on a hunt for evidence of her grand-father, a Southern Tutchone geologist who once walked the ancient trails that lead to All-Together mountain. She meets up with Kelsey whose archaeological practice brought her to southern Yukon. Together they explore and document hunting technology in the midst of a rapidly changing environment. Along with local experts, they connect to the past to share the wisdom of All-Together mountain.
