HANNAH CHEESMAN most recently sold her original TV comedy BADGER to Apple TV+ and has written for WORKIN’ MOMS on Netflix and the CBC as well as FIND ME IN PARIS for Hulu and SURREALESTATE for Sy-Fy. She can be seen acting in the feature film HEY, VIKTOR! that premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival. Hannah also Executive Produced and directed episodes of SOMETHING UNDONE, a dramatic television series set to be released in Canada, UK, Australia, and Germany in December, based off the SXSW-jury prize winning digital series of the same name.

Logline:
After a messy divorce, a middle-aged formerly successful musician decides to kill herself. BUT first she needs to find someone to take her ex-husbands dog. As she tries to pawn the dog off on friends, family, and strangers, she starts to reconsider her plan.
Synopsis:
Joy Ramsey, a former '90s indie rock musician now trapped in a dead-end government job, struggles with chronic pain, depression, and the lingering heartbreak of her failed marriage. As she approaches her fiftieth birthday, Joy is haunted by an old promise she made to herself—to end her life if she still hadn't found happiness.
With her only companion, her beloved dog Pride, Joy embarks on a road trip across Canada and the United States, reconnecting with old friends, former bandmates, family, and the ex-husband she never truly let go. Along the way, she confronts the dreams she abandoned, the relationships she damaged, and the emotional weight of a life she believes she has wasted.
As Joy searches for a new home for Pride, she gradually realizes that her journey is less about saying goodbye than rediscovering reasons to keep living. Through moments of heartbreak, humor, and unexpected compassion, Joy begins to reconnect with her love of music and the people who still care about her.
In the end, Joy chooses hope over despair, extending the deadline of her teenage suicide pact and embracing the possibility that happiness can still be found—even if it looks nothing like the life she once imagined.
