Call for AIFF Volunteer Pre-Screeners
The Atlantic International Film Festival is seeking candidates for festival Pre-Screeners for the 44th edition of our festival this fall; September 11-18, 2024. Whether you have a background in film history, filmmaking, or are a cinephile, we’re looking for a diverse group of people who want to spend some free time watching and reviewing unique and thought-provoking festival submissions from voices around the world.
Volunteer Spotlight: Garrett
“I think the main thing I look forward to every year is the people I meet, whether they’re volunteers of the festival or film-goers. After graduating from film school, one of the biggest things I learned was how tight knit the film community really is. The AIFF really displays that as many people I see I’ve recognized, whether they’re former classmates or even former instructors. Especially this year when volunteering I got to talk to other volunteers about the different movies we saw and ones that we’re excited to see.”

Call for AIFF Filmmakers Advisory Committee
The Atlantic International Film Festival is launching a new Filmmakers’ Advisory Committee to create a meaningful, ongoing link between the festival and filmmakers in Atlantic Canada. The committee is designed to foster open dialogue with respect to the festival's activities and plans and the needs and concerns of the industry.
Volunteer Spotlight: Nahom
“I highly recommend that first-timers stay through the ending and take the opportunity to listen to the movie crew and ask them questions. It’s the best time to poke your questions at actors, directors, and producers, gaining valuable tips and insights into the field.”
